Cold and thin was the air.
And I felt it filling up my lungs and blowing through my hair.
A soft smile covered my overheated face.
In the far and over all beauty I would gaze.
Suddenly I heard bells ring in the sky.
And a tear fell from my eye.
Tears
The pain of the world I will and can not carry.
I do not watch nor read the latest news.
My tears are already that heavy.
They clatter with such gravity.
In a river of old misery.
Crying daily for others pain.
Would make me drown.
In an everlasting rain.

Morning
Icy flakes dropping down.
Neighbors houses locked up heavily.
Window blinds all the way down.
I’m looking outside 6 am.
Drinking my coffee, searching something.
Maybe tomorrow 5 am.

Silence
In the silence I would like to gaze.
The world asleep in a thick eerie haze.
No one to see.
Street lights shining only for me.
Leading me to an empty space of mind.
To discover there it is what I want to find.

My Son
I write chapters about my son.
That I see the extraordinary beautiful person he is and who he will become.
I write how he handles everything.
How he thrives.
Having the world at his feet.
That he is larger than life.

Modern World
I feel like a stranger in this modern world.
I was dining in style.
Fine clothing, completely dress up.
Wearing my pearls and roses.
High heels on.
Fresh polished smile.
But there was no beauty to see.
No decent place or room to sit.
No one to talk to or laugh with.
No cheers, no santé.
Around me only running feet.
Serving plates of chaos.
Sweatpants and ripped jeans.
Vulgar words and loud screams.
Only disappointment to eat.

Trees
We see you.
Teared up and cold.
Burying the hunger for normality beneath you.
With deep going roots you fight.
Between hope and fear.
In worlds plain sight.
Your strength is extremely high.
you lead a moral example.
The people around the globe can not deny.
We see you.
A beautiful forest with deep rooted trees.
Standing ground for the freedom you belong to.
